I was going in for Clomid when...

After trying to have a baby for 6 months, my husband and I decided it was time to resort to other measures. I had gone in to the doctor's and she told me to give it at least a year, but because of the irregularity of my cycle, waiting a year was a devasting thought. I thought, "I'm already 29 and I want more than one child so all of this shooting in the dark month after month is pointless!" I was pretty sure that I wasn't even ovulating.

Fast forward to March 29, 2006...I went in to see a OB/GYN about the possibility of starting Clomid, when I was asked to give a urine sample. I gave it without thinking twice because I had taken a preg. test just the day before which turned out negative. So when the nurse turned to me and said, "How much would you pay me if this test was positive?" I knew she had to be joking but she assured me that she would not play such a cruel joke. I stood up a minute later to check and sure enough it was a faint pink line! All of the ladies in the office began to come and see and they all said, "Yep, she's pregnant!"

I was totally in shock. I know it was no one but God who did this awesome miracle. I thought I could control this thing with ovulation kits and obsessive reading articles and checking out books on fertility from the library. But in the end it was God who created this miracle for a woman who's only had two periods in 6 months! And to think, I didn't even know if I was ovulating or not.

Needless to say, my husband and I are estatic and we are just praying for a great pregnancy and a healthy baby. Little miracles happen every day!

Morning Sickness

Hi, my name is Heather and I'm 11 weeks pregnant. I have had horrible sickness all throughout the day since I was about 6-7 weeks pregnant. It's not just in the morning for me. I am REALLY sick when I wake up and it's so hard to keep anything down. Although I've only thrown up only twice, I've fought hard many times to not throw up when I probally should.

I just wish all this sickness would go away so I can enjoy my pregnancy and have a normal life again. I don't even work anymore right now cause the sickness is so bad. The feeling that I have in my stomach feels like it's full of air, and I constantly have to belch. It sounds weird but there is so much gas and air in my stomach and I've tried tums. They do not seem to work. I don't know what to do except to just deal with it. I was told at my 12th week it should all weaken but we'll see.

worried about being pregnant again

i did a hpt a couple of weeks ago and it came back with a faint 2nd line, so i did 2 more and they had exactly the same result. i wasn't convinced so i made an appointment with the doctor the next day. she told me that i was pregnant, because if the line is there then you are. i couldn't believe it.

My husband and i have been trying since november and just got caught. the reason as to why i am so worried is because i have had a miscarriage 3 yr ago. i have got 2 healthy boys 4 and 2. i miscarried in between them. i was 10 weeks at the time and had to have a d&c because my body didn't know that i had miscarried so it was not very nice at all.

A few days after i found out i was pregnant i went to the loo and when i wiped i noticed a brown discharge and a pink colour. it went on for about 4 days but never went on to my pants only there when i wiped and not every time i wiped either. you can imagine how worried i was when i noticed this so i went back to the doctor and she told me not to worry about it.

i have been on the net every day so far reading about other people who have had bleeding in early pregnancy and i think that it must have been inplantation bleeding going by other people's symptoms with it. i can't help but worry though because my doctor doesn't seem to want to do anything about it and i have not heard anything from my midwife yet.

Is it possible to have a scan this early on? i am about 51/2 weeks now i guess. Has anyone else had this problem before and still had+ a healthy baby?

Wonderful news...but scary!

My boyfriend and I just returned from a very romantic holiday in Scotland....where, to my absolute delight, he proposed! It was a magical trip, filled with champagne toasts, large pints of ale, and continual "car sickness" as I adjusted to driving on the OTHER side of the windy, country roads.

The day after we arrived home to ecstatic friends and families, I noticed the "car sickness" was still in my belly. I decided to take a pregnancy test and almost collapsed when the positive result appeared.

We are thrilled about this news, although I can’t help but feel worried about the potential damage I’ve inflicted from drinking alcohol and celebrating so excessively on our trip. I estimate I’m now about 5 weeks along and would have been 4 weeks pregnant at the time I was drinking - more than usual I might add. I understand that the baby is still detached from the uterus until about four weeks, which makes me feel a bit better.

In any case, I will hopefully be about 6 months pregnant as I tie the knot with my handsome, proud daddy-to-be!

third and the last

I am currenty 5 weeks pregnant and am very excited. I have a five year old boy and a fifteen month old girl. With me being 30 years old we are excited that this will be our last baby but pray for a healthy child and safe pregnancy. I miscarried twice before my daughter so it is a real trying time right now as the first three months are the most crucial.

We are hoping for a boy but since the male determines the sex we will probably have a girl since he has two girls already (one from a previous relationship). So as the days go on, we are hoping and praying for the best!
