First and Scared

This is my first pregnancy, and this morning sickness needs to go away. I finally tested myself because I knew I wasnt having the flu for a week straight, and it came back positive. Im very scared of my families reaction when I tell them this weekend, Im having a bi-racial baby, and one side of my families extremely racist, so wish me luck!!

2nd pregnancy -- 20 years later

I just found out the I am pregnant! I am about 9 weeks and I am very happy yet freaked out! This is my second child. My first child just turned 20!! 20 years not months! I have no others! I have no idea what to expect with this second one. I can barely remember my pregnancy with my first one. I was only 16! Should I treat this one like a 'first' since it has been so long or can I expect the 'typical' second time symptoms? Has anyone else been through this situation or is currently? I'd just like to hear others thoughts and stories. Thanks!

8 weeks and counting

Hey here I am 26 years old and 8 weeks along with our first. My husband,27, and I have only been married since 4-22, still newly weds, but we decided to start trying a couple of months ago, before we knew it I had taken three test and they were all positive. We have decided not to tell anyone until after the first trimester, and it has been really hard.

My brother and sister-in-law lost their twins and was scheduled for a D&C the day I found out I was preg. So yes times have been a little tough, she was only 10wks and 2 dys. So this has urged us more to wait to tell anyone. The urge is about to drive both of us up the wall, but we think it is for the best.

I have had strong symptoms of preg(cramping for 2wks, tender breast, constant urination, constant tiredness, very bloated, contipation, bad mood swings, etc) some times the bloatness is so bad I feel like I am 6mths preg instead of 8 wks. The constipation seems to still be aggrevating, so I try to take metamucil. Been pretty emotional in the last few weeks, scared, and very exicited all at the same time. I cannot wait to tell my mom and my best friend.

I am glad this site is here to be able to share my story, since we chose not to share with anyone else right now. This has been very hard. They say the first trimester is always the worst and I have always counted on my mother (a RN) and my best friend (aLPN) to help me through sickness, but not this time.

It has just been me and my husband, which I find wonderful. It makes us both stronger to know that we can count on each other during difficult times. He is wonderful and I have ever doubt he will be a great daddy. Please pray that we have a healthy preg and baby.

congrats to everyone and good luck

41 and first time

Everything has happened so fast. 41, just got married. My husband is 54. Must have gotten pregnant on the honeymoon. I knew before I was even late. Don't want to get the pregnancy test, am kind of reveling in it being our personal knowledge from the changes. So overwhelming. Didn't realize I'd feel such profound bodily changes immediately. And the most overwhelming is how excited I am that I can barely contain myself.

Breasts growing. Firm and full. But the more awesome is this heat and sensation in my pelvis area. Like a gathering of critical mass. Like a spider building a web around my uterus, then something building a coccoon around itself inside. The heat, and the-building-of-something feeling. Tired. No nausea. Read an article months ago about a new study connecting morning sickness to the body trying to rid itself of toxins to the baby.

Have been trying to eat very healthy foods. I'm lucky, my husband raises natural meats, and I planted a garden this year with leafy greens. Have to pee a lot. All for now. Just so happy. Optimistic. Anybody else notice that sex is even more amazing while pregnant? Feels so different. Having problems focusing on work. Anyone else finding their partner even more sexy now that he/she is the partner in your birth?

much hope to all who are out there pregnant.

How I responded when asked "why aren't you dr

I just found out I am pregnant with our THIRD child. It was not planned and due to many factors, I cannot tell anyone (I am still on maternity leave from my SECOND child!!!) In response to Jules questions, we are going to a party on Saturday and I'm sure people will ask why I am not drinking. Last time, I just told friends I was on an antibiotic for an slight ear infection that I am not supposed to mix wtih alcohol. Worked like a charm!

I am feeling pretty sick and miserable but remember this from before. It does pass and it is ALL worth it when it is over and you receive such a wonderful gift - your baby.
