Problems in the first trimester!

My boyfriend and I decided about just over 2 months ago we wanted to try for a baby. When I skipped my period I went straight to the doctors but the doctor said it was negative. I was so sure I was pregnant because my body felt different. After around 6 weeks i started spotting and then I started bleeding heavily and it wasnt stopping so I went to my doctors instead of my boyfriends and found out I am pregnant. I spent 4 hours at hospital yesterday having test after test and they couldnt find anything wrong except low potassium. Today I'm off to have an ultrasound to see what's happening but what bothers me the most is we were convinced once I started bleeding it was over so we went out for a few drinks and Ive been drinking every weekend ever since, which usually Im not a big drinker.
Right now both myself and my partner are very confused and just want answers!

Questions

ok all...I have so many questions! Is it normal to have constant minor aches in your lower stomach? Is it normal to have...ummm...not sure what to call it. It is like LOL mucus when I go to the restroom. Nothing huge, but still...definitely different. Is this normal??? Thank you for all your advice.

Wow, that was quick.

My husband and I just got married last month and a few days ago we found out that I'm already 5 weeks pregnant! I'm 22 and he's 26 and we're currently living in base housing because he's in the Air Force. We figure I must have gotten pregnant the first week after our honeymoon! I was always kind of scared that it would be really hard to get pregnant but I guess I had nothing to worry about. We were so busy with an out of state move and military stuff that I barely noticed the sore breasts, the growth (a D to a DD almost overnight), the headaches, and the late period until I was 5 days late. I took two home pregnancy tests and each of those days I couldn't help myself from double checking that the tests really said positive. I must have done that about 12 times a day. Today we went to the clinic and I had a blood test so that I could get a referal for an off base OBGYN. By now the morning sickness has kicked in so bad that I could barely stand being in the clinic. Everything I smell literally makes me sick. We're planning on telling my parents and family within the next couple of days. I wanted to wait but my husband has a big mouth so his side (and everyone he works with) already knows so I kind of have to tell my side now. Don't want them getting jealous. As far as the nausea goes, I've noticed that things with strong smells (coffee, aftershave, etc) will make me want to throw up but as long as I keep a little something in my stomach even though i don't have much of an appetitie really seems to help. It's when I'm hungry that its the worst. I'm petrified that something is going to go wrong with this pregnancy but keeping a positive attitude and the stress level low helps. And as far as I'm concerned there's nothing wrong with making your partner go out in the middle of the night to 7-11 to get you Ben and Jerry's and potato chips even though you're only 1st trimester! :) Good luck to everyone.
