Does conception date matter?

Just found out I was pregnant about a week ago now. Have since made best friends with the nurses in Urgent Care, apparently I live there. First it was because of cramping on my left side, then because of back pain. They tested me and found a urinary tract infection but still sent me to get an Ultrasound just in case. The ultrasound found nothing, not even a gestational sack, which worried the radiologist. I was back in Urgent Care again. The radiologist said that it was "highly unlikely" that I wasn't far enough along, but then the doctor said "I just think you are too early pregnant." Or... "a little bit pregnant."

THEN I got a yeast infection from the antibiotics. I still have lower back pain and pain when I get up from being in bed. (A dull pain that lasts all the time). And now they are freaking me out again, calling me and saying I have to come in for ANOTHER ultrasound next week (will be 12 days after my first ultrasound) because they are "concerned." I'm just freaking out on a regular basis, am I pregnant or not? Am I having a problem or not? Is there a baby in there or not?

Does the conception date matter at all in what would be the age and size of the fetus? My husband and I sat down and figured out probable conception dates and it put the actual age of the fetus at like 3 weeks! Does that matter? They keep telling me that I'm at least 7 weeks pregnant!

Fingers Crossed

Myself anf my hubby have been trying for a baby for 2 years. We did a lot of tests and found out tht I do not ovulate regularly. Finally after 2 failed clomid sessions, I didnt get my periods last month. I was so nervous and excited. I did a preg test at home and it came out positive, but when we went for an U/S the doc couldnt see anything. She said it looks like I am pregnant but it might be tubular. She told me to get a blood test and come back the next day to abort the baby as it is dangerous for me. Went home and cried my eyes out while my husband looked on helplessly. Poor guy!!

Anyway, went back the next day and my doc seemed like a totally diff person. She said the blood test was positive and that the HCG count was good and that maybe it was too early to see my sac. I am going for a check up tomm. I am so nervous. I have no symtoms of pregnancy - just tender breats and gas. I am so scared that when I go tomm, she will tell me that I am not pregnant or that my pregnancy has to be aborted.

Please pray for us. I would love to hold my baby in my hand and even though my husband keeps telling me it is not important I know he wants it too.

Beautiful 10 year anniversary gift

My husband and I are late bloomers. We married at ages 24 (me) and 25 (him) and spent the remainder of our 20's having a great time and getting our degrees. I never thought I could get pregnant because we didn't use birth control and I had not gotten pregnant yet. Well, after years of renting, we finally purchased our home this year. In mid August, not even a month into our new home, we conceived a baby!! I found out on our ten year anniversary (August 17th). I am only 5 weeks along, but I have told everyone I know - including the checkout gal at Wal-mart - because I am so excited!

Just had to share :-)

Truly Blessed

I was so excited when I found out I was pregnant. I was on birth control for over 10 yrs and I never thought I would be able to conceive naturally. I am 6 wks today and I'm happy & nervous at the same time. I've been all over the net reading pregnancy sites about what to do, what to expect and its help alot. Then I've come across sad stories about miscarrying which now has me scared to death. This is my first baby, but I'm 39yrs old. My first prenatal visit isn't for 3wks and I have so many questions.

I read about all the symptoms other expectant mothers have & I get worried because other than occassional sore breasts & mild cramping I have no other symptoms. I took 4 hpts just to make sure I was pregnant (all positive) but I'm still nervous about something being wrong.

I've waited so long for this blessing and I'm terrified something is/will go wrong. I guess until the dr visit all I can do is try n relax and pray.

Tubal Ligation

I had a tubal Ligation done 7 1/2 years ago after I had my second daughter...Well in June I started a methadone maintenance program for a pill addiction, I had my period in June and also in July (9th) well it is now August 28, and I have not gotten my period but I have been getting cramps, feels like period cramps...so I took a test earlier today and low and behold *positive* OMG I did NOT expect this to happen..

I will be going to the doctor tomorrow to find out more..I am not 100% that I want to start over with anohter baby right now..I had my tubes tied for a reason..my period has NEVER ever been late..and I FEEL pregnant..just starting to feel slightly naceous*sp? but remembering having severe nausea with my two girls...I am terified...but not sure if I should worry..maybe the test was wrong..I heard false positive are rare tho...

I also read that it is pretty common to get pregnant years after a tubal ligation (only banded) I am single, I split up with my kids dad 6 years ago, and for some reason decided to sleep with him a month or so ago on a whim..now this will be his baby!!! how weird is that?

I just had to tell my story..and let people know that a tubal ligation is only about as effective as depo or any other form of birth control...
