my miracle baby

well first of all i was 17 when i concieved and at 20 weeks they thought they would have to take the baby cause i had pre-clampsia and they thought it was worse then it really was. so luckily they didn't have to but at 36 weeks my baby was not moving for hours at a time and they had to watch the baby on a ultrasound for about a hour and seen no fetal movement so they prepped me for delivery and i was induced and had my baby at 7:53 p.m on september 5, 2006 i was in labor for 8 hour's it was a decent labor and with all the problems i had when i was pregnet i thought it was al over but it was only the begging my daughter was born with group b strep virus in her blood and double namonnoha and pulmenary hypertention and respitory distress syndrome.and they found her in the nursery with only 10% oxygen and they placed her in the neonatal intensive care unit were she struggled for her life for the next 4 week's she was placed on life support and was icolated from all the other babys she was on a vent wich was breathing 100% for her she was on four blood pressure medicines pain medicine and sadation medicine. and nitric oxide but she is now healthier and happier then ever she pulled threw it and came home on septemeber 25, 2006 she has had a few hospital stays sence then for some minor things. i look at her and i can't believe that the doctors told me that they didn't think she would make it through the night but she beat the odds 100%.

i was scared to death.....

i was only 18 and in labor, i was scared and in a lot of pain.i was given staydol and it did nothing but make me tired. they wanted to give me an epidoral, and they told me that i would run the risk of being paralyzed, then i was too scared to have it, so i just delt with the pain and after a total of 8 hours the baby was out and the pain was completly gone, now i am 25 and on my 3 child, and i am going to go through labor completly natural, with no pain meds, just practice on breathing and focus on something other then the pain and youll be fine.. good luck to all the moms to be......and most importantly remember the pain stops after the baby's out.

difficult c-section

april 1st last yr i had an emergency c-section, which was not my choice. my baby heart rate went up so they took him 6 wks early. the c-section @ that time i thought wan't so bad, about a wk after the surgery i got really sick, i had lost 45 lbs within 2wks. i went to the dr and was told tht was nothing wrng. after that another wk went by and i lost 20 more lbs, went back 2 the dr an they did tests and found tht i had an infection in my stomach from the c-section. the dr gave me several meds, and none of them treated the infection. the dr said tht they dn't know what kind of infection it is but it is from the c-section. the infection caused me 2 have b.m ever 10-15 mins, an a complete lost of desire 2 eat, drink, and spend time with my other kids because i was so sick. now tht is is a yr later i still have the infection an the dr still dosen't know how 2 treat it, i may need 2 take meds 4 the rest of my life, which i have a reflex 2 pills and it kills me 2 take them everyday. now i am on a new med while the dr try 2 find out how 2 treat this infection. what should i do? i,m thinking about getting a lawyer 2 take further action. i was told tht a c-section only takes about 30 mins, mines took about 45- 1hr and i had no complication during the surgery.

no pain no gain

i had a pretty good pregnancy with no complications. at 39 weeks i went to the doctor and he said that it would be at least another 10 days before anything would happen. The next morning i was woken by a small wet patch. i had actualy thought i had wet myself because it was only a small amount of water. i rang my boyfriend coz he just gone out of town for work and told him that my waters might have broken he told me to ring the hospital which i did and they told me to come down for a test. they said my waters had broken and that i should just go home because usually people go into labour naturally within 24 hours of their waters breaking.

my waters broke slowly, i leaked all day and by the morning my tummy was soft and i was worried about the being no water. nothing had happened with in 24 hours so i had to go back to the hospital at 8:30am and i was enduced. they put an iv in and gave me something to bring on my contractions. it seemed to go on forever and the contractions where extremely intense but i still wasnt dialating.

at 3pm they checked and i was only 5-6 cms dialated and the pain only got worse. i didn have ne pain killers i only had a bit of gas. at about 4 i kept feeling something wierd and i kept yelling to the midwife that i needed to push, she just kept telling me i couldnt yet. at 5pm the doctor came in and my babies head was right there, i was right i did have to push after all.
then after 3 big pushes my daughter was born at 5:08pm.

my daughter is now 5 months old and is the joy of my life. i love watching her grow day by day

I Never want to go through Labor again

I was 27 years old when I got pregenant. I was actually pretty excited about it. I called my boyfriend at the time and told him. He was excited about it as well.

I had a very pleasant pregnancy. My boyfriend and I got married, and excitedly waited for the weeks to go by. When I was approximately 37 weeks, I didn't want to work any longer, and even joked when I left work on Friday, "Hey maybe this will be the weekend it will happen, and I won't be in on Monday" Well that Sunday, I wasn't really feeling all that well, I just kinda layed in the bed, but I couldn't sleep either. My husband had went out with a friend, around 4pm, and around 410pm, I started getting these pains in my back every couple of minutes.

After about a 1/2 an hour I called my doctor and he told me to come in. I finally found my husband and he came and picked me up and brought me to the hospital, and then that is when it all started going bad.

I had a group of 5 doctors, there was only 1 doctor I did not want, and guess who was on call the night!!!! The one doctor I did not want. Anyway, he hooks me up to see how I am doing. He checks me out, says I am about 1 cm, and my contractions are not that bad. So he went home, told the nurses to monitor me, and that he would come back at 10pm, and see how I was doing.

Well within the hour, I was falling over in pain, the nurses said since the doctor wan't there they could not give me anything. I kept begging and begging the nurses, I just didn't know what to do with myself. They had me walking around, I just kept leaning over in pain, I just couldn't take it. The back labor was like someone just stabbing me over and over in my back. The nurses claimed to keep calling the doctor but he said no medicine.

Finally at 10pm, the doctor came in, and checked me out, he said "Wow, I am going to say 10 cms" Everyone including my husband, just looked puzzled, and now seemed to understand that I was in pain. They all ran around setting up, and told me I couldn't have anything for the pain because it was too late. It took me about an hour to push my little guy out. I evidently ripped forward as well, so I had to take 3 stitches without novicane either. Needless to say, I swore never to have another baby.

I recently found out that I am pregnant again. My little guy is 2 years old, And all I keep thinking of, is how I can not make it through Labor again. I am really scared that I will have another awful experience. However this time I have found a new doctor and a new hospital, and I am hoping for the best.
