Whether you opted for natural childbirth or an epidural, tell us how your pregnancy progressed. Did you give birth at home or in hospital? Was it complication-free or was baby a little more stubborn? And, of course, how does it feel to have a new addition to your family? feels lucky!i was 19 when i gave birth to my son, Riley. At 38 weeks i went to the doctors for my usual check up, the doc did an intrenal exam to see if i was moving along and there and then i was already 3 cm dilated! That night i spent throwing up all night! My husband took me into the hospital the next morning, my doctor gave me the option i could get induced there and then or could go home and wait it out. i chose the indouction, i wanted him out no matter what! i was in labour for 5 extremly painful hours and with no pain medication, i was pushing for a long hour and a half, which seemed to take for ever for him to come out! and the feeling once he came out and when he stared into my eyes is a feelin like no other!!! also i had no stitches so i consider myself very lucky!! wishing every one out there the best of luck! amy xoxo amy A Natural, Overdue OneAt 18, I became pregnant with my first. With it came the typical teen situation. But as time passed, so did our issues, and the baby stays.Being due in February, I was skeptical which day she'd show. My sister gave birth prior to 39 weeks, I'd assume the same for me. The due date slid right by, and before I knew it, I hit 41 weeks. Being induced, not so fun. The day before birth, I was admitted. They slid up a med to get the cervix going. Contractions hit, but with the help of Morphine I was able to get some rest. By the end of the day, I was only 1-2cm. Next morning, I was still the same. They then broke my water and took me to the labor ward. Here, I went countless hours battling contactions with the help of Morphine (by now, my new bff). Those are painful.. seriously. By 5pm, I reached 9cm with the biggest urge to push. I disobeyed the nurse, and pushed out my last cm. By now, they told me to "push". (Listen to your body ladies!) The next 40 minutes felt like 5. Next thing I knew, out she came. Best feeling in the world, although the Morphine left me kind of whoozy. She's now almost 3 months and doing great. Labor.. you just never know! I've had all of my children in the comfort of my own home without any medication of gas or air or anything whatsoever. I've had the wonderful support of my husband each step of the way and a well experienced midwife. My first baby, a girl, was born after only 5 hours of labor, in my very own bed May 8th of 2004. The day before mothes day! She weighed 7lbs 8 oz. She is now 6 years old and is homeschooled by me and reading and writing on a second grade level. I am very proud of her. My second baby, a boy, was born Dec. 7th 2006 (pearl habor day) after 6 hours of labor, again, in my very own bed. He was smaller, 5lbs 15oz, he was a week early. He had a hard time breastfeeding in the begining but was breastfed until he was ten months old. He is now three years old and quite a charmer! Not to mention a trouble maker! My third child, also a boy, was born Jan 14 2009 after 7 hours of labor weighing in at 7lbs3oz. His birth was by far my best because I think I was in more control mentally due to my experiences. I love having babies, and I hope that the Lord will continue to bless me so that I can birth at home all my days. I'm greatly looking forward to baby number four, and hoping that my husband will not be out of town when the babe decides to show! (Ps all of my babies have been a surprise! No peeking beforehand! I'm hopinh sorta for a girl, but healthy and whole is all I really desire) good luck to you al and happy birthingkelli Labour!!!Hello my names Chelsey and im from Liverpool (uk) and im only 17.
